Welcoming Simangele Mzizi to the CCID

Welcoming Simangele Mzizi to the CCID

12 Dec 2017 Tags: Staff member

In September, the CCID bid a sad farewell to Communications department staff writer and City Views editor, Brent Smith, but this month welcomes Simangele Mzizi affectionately known as Sims to the post.

An adventurous spirit, Simangele comes to the Cape Town CCID via, originally, KwaZulu-Natal and, more recently, Johannesburg. With a diploma in Journalism and a PR qualification, she’s spent more than six years working across the media spectrum, from online, print to television as well as in a business-to-business environment, the non-profit sector and in a content and communications agency.

Simangele’s name – in isiZulu – means “amazement” or “we’re surprised”, and we look forward to years of her surprising, amazing, entertaining and informing readers across the CCID’s many media platforms.
