Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra’s November Season
Tickets are on sale for the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra’s November Season, conducted by Conrad van Alphen and Bernhard Gueller. Some of the highlights include Russian pianist Dmitry Shishkin who will be performing the Chopin Piano Concerto No.1 on 7th November and multi-award-winning Russian violinist Yury Revich who will perform the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto on 28th November. And on 14th November, concertgoers will hear one of the most beloved requiems, Ein Deutsches Requiem by Brahms, with soloists Arline Jaftha and Conroy Scott with the Philharmonia Choir of Cape Town directed by Richard Haigh.

Wonderland
StateoftheART presents the highly anticipated solo exhibition by Durban artist, Grace Kotze. Fuelled by the book, Alice in Wonderland, with its nonsensical environments and improbable interactions among species, Grace takes her inspiration from the city of Durban with its myriad of incongruous visuals that come into play when city, humankind and nature co-exist. Origins of Early Sapiens Behaviour
The Origins of Early Sapiens Behaviour exhibition is a showcase of a culmination of some 30 years of archaeological research in the southern Cape, undertaken by Professor Christopher Henshilwood, Dr Karen van Niekerk, Professor Sarah Wurz and their research teams at Blombos Cave, Klipdrift Shelter and Klasies River. The exhibition is designed to explore key aspects of archaeological research and is linked to the SapienCE/Wits research programme that focuses on early human origins and innovations in southern Africa.
