The race starts in Milnerton at 09h00 and the first of the 15 000 runners are expected to be in the CBD by 09h30. As the tail-end runners progress, roads will be reopened to allow for traffic flow.
Here are the CBD road closures:
- Walter Sisulu Avenue will be closed at Buitengracht and Lower Long Street. Only local traffic allowed.
- Long Street will be fenced from Riebeek Street with runners using the right-hand side and traffic flowing in a single lane along the left.
- On Heerengracht from Walter Sisulu Avenue towards Strand Street, runners will be in the centre lane with traffic in the far left lane.
- Hans Strijdom Avenue will be semi-closed at Lower Loop Street and at Lower Long Street.
- Strand Street will be closed at Adderley Street and Buitengracht. Detour via Wale Street.
- Wale Street from Bree Street to Long Street will also only have the right lane open to traffic.
- Loop Street will be closed at Wale Street. Only local traffic and buses allowed.
- Bree Street will be closed to traffic.
- Riebeek Street will be closed at Buitengracht. Only local traffic and buses allowed.
- Bree Street will be closed between Hans Strijdom Avenue & Riebeek Street from Saturday at 15h00 until Sunday afternoon.
