There are several ways in which you can get connected to the CCID, whether you need to get hold of our 24-hour call centre, leave a message for one of our team members to get back to you about something, or just stay in contact for news about the work of the CCID or happenings in the Central City.
CCID 24-hour Control Centre
Our 24-hour control centre is for when you need to reach us urgently, and we would advise all Central City stakeholders and visitors to keep this all-important number in your cell, just in case: 082 415 7127
The one-stop-shop for everything you need to know about the CCID, its departments, staff, operations and geographical boundaries. All our the CCID’s publications and departmental campaigns can be found here, to be read online or downloaded for a variety of purposes. For example, download our latest Best of Cape Town Central City guide or the latest issue of our quarterly newspaper City Views. You can also get in touch with us via email to report an incident, send an enquiry or be added to our database to get our e-newsletter.

CCID Monthly E-Newsletter
Around the middle of each month, we send out an electronic newsletter to our database members to keep them up to date on things happening in the Central City, and to even share news from across the globe that may be of interest to urban “downtowners”. To subscribe to our e-newsletter, just visit our website, scroll to the bottom left of the home page and sign up.
Follow us on our CCID Facebook page and get daily updates of events, protest marches, road closures and important news on the Central City. We also update you on what our Safety & Security and Urban Management teams are up to, both in terms respectively of keeping you safe on the CBD streets and creating a beautiful urban environment we can all be proud of.

Because our City Views hardcopy newspaper only comes out quarterly, our City Views Facebook page is our way of staying in daily touch with our followers in terms of retail and entertainment news as well as events happening in the Central City. It’s also a great place to post stories about interesting developments in other downtowns across the globe.

This is a showcase for the Central City and a platform on which we share not only the best images captured by our own team but those sent to us from locals and visitors who have great pics of the CBD that they are happy to share with us and our community.

As you see from the many sites above, we have many ways in which to interact with our communities, so we tend to keep Twitter to get out messaging of the more urgent nature. For example, when protest marches are happening in the CBD, or when the City has important announcements to make to the public. We always advise anyone who needs to reach the CCID urgently – as in an emergency – to call or SMS our 24-hour control centre instead (082 415 7127) as we only man Twitter during normal working hours.
